To install the Stihl AutoCut 2-2, first ensure the trimmer is turned off and disconnected from any power source. Remove the existing trimmer head if necessary. Align the AutoCut 2-2 with the shaft and twist it clockwise until it is securely fastened. Ensure it is tightly fixed to avoid operational issues.
To replace the line, remove the trimmer head by unscrewing it. Cut two pieces of line, each about 10 feet long. Insert each line end into the holes on the trimmer head, winding them evenly in the direction of the arrow indicated. Reattach the head and ensure the lines are correctly extended.
If the line is not feeding properly, check for tangles or jams in the trimmer head. Ensure the line is wound correctly and is not too short. Also, inspect the feed mechanism for wear or damage that may require part replacement.
To prevent jamming, ensure that the line is wound evenly and not excessively tight. Regularly clean the trimmer head to prevent debris buildup and use the recommended line thickness to ensure smooth operation.
Regularly check the trimmer head for wear and tear, and replace parts as necessary. Clean the head after each use to remove dirt and debris. Lubricate moving parts periodically to ensure smooth operation.
Excessive vibrations can be caused by an improperly balanced head or damaged parts. Check for even line length on both sides. Inspect the head for cracks or damage and replace if necessary. Tighten the head securely onto the shaft.
To clean the trimmer head, first remove it from the trimmer. Use a brush to remove grass clippings and dirt. For stubborn residue, use a mild detergent and water, ensuring the head is completely dry before reattachment.
The AutoCut 2-2 is designed for specific line sizes. Refer to the user manual for the recommended line diameter. Using the correct size ensures optimal performance and prevents damage to the trimmer head.
If the head is difficult to remove, ensure you are rotating it in the correct direction as indicated in the manual. If it remains stuck, check for debris in the threads and clean as necessary, applying a small amount of lubricant if needed.
Some noise is normal during operation, but if you notice unusual or excessive noise, check for loose parts or debris within the head. Ensure the line is properly installed and the head is securely fastened to the trimmer.
