The Sony KDL-46XBR8 does not have built-in Wi-Fi capability. You must use a wired Ethernet connection or a compatible external wireless adapter.
Ensure that the volume is not muted and that the audio settings are correctly configured. Check all cable connections and try a different input source to rule out an external issue.
To perform a factory reset, go to the Home menu, select 'Settings', then 'Setup', and choose 'Reset' to restore factory settings.
Check if the TV is powered on and the input source is correctly selected. Ensure all cables are properly connected, and try a different input source to see if the issue persists.
Press the 'CC' button on the remote control or navigate to 'Settings', select 'Preferences', and choose 'Closed Captions' to enable them.
The optimal settings vary, but start with 'Picture Mode' set to 'Custom', 'Backlight' at 6, and 'Contrast' at 90. Adjust these according to your viewing environment.
Check the Sony support website for any available firmware updates. Download the update to a USB drive and follow the instructions to install it on your TV.
Replace the batteries and ensure that there are no obstacles between the remote and the TV. If the problem persists, try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing each button twice.
Check the cable connections and ensure that the correct input source is selected. Adjust the picture settings such as 'Brightness' and 'Contrast'.
Use the audio output ports on the TV to connect external speakers. You may need an amplifier if the speakers do not have built-in amplification.
