To start the Poulan Pro SM210VS Blower, ensure the blower is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the full choke position, press the primer bulb 6 times, and pull the starter rope briskly until the engine fires. Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to the half choke position, and let it run for about 30 seconds. Then, move it to the run position.
The Poulan Pro SM210VS Blower requires a fuel mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle oil at a ratio of 40:1. Always use fresh gasoline and a high-quality 2-cycle oil.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of use. If the blower is used in dusty conditions, it's advisable to clean the filter more frequently. Use warm soapy water to clean the filter, rinse it thoroughly, and allow it to air dry before reinstalling.
If the engine won't start, ensure there is fresh fuel in the tank. Check the spark plug for wear or damage, and replace it if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean, and that the carburetor is not clogged. Following the starting procedure correctly can also help resolve starting issues.
To reduce vibration, ensure all parts and screws are securely fastened. Regularly inspect the blower tube for any blockages or damages. Wearing padded gloves can also help minimize the effects of vibration.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, checking and replacing fuel filters, and cleaning the blower exterior to remove debris. Additionally, lubricate moving parts as specified in the user manual.
For long-term storage, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the fuel lines. Clean the exterior and store the blower in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or moisture. It's also advisable to remove the spark plug and apply a small amount of oil to the cylinder.
Overheating can be caused by a dirty air filter, clogged exhaust, or improper fuel mixture. Ensure the air filter is clean, the exhaust is free of blockages, and the correct fuel mixture is used. Avoid running the blower in extremely hot conditions for extended periods.
To replace the spark plug, first disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Check the gap on the new spark plug, and adjust if necessary. Install the new spark plug by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten it with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Always wear protective eyewear and ear protection while operating the blower. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts. Ensure the work area is clear of people, pets, and obstacles. Follow all safety instructions in the user manual.
