To start the Poulan Pro PXT12530 Tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade lever is in the disengaged position, and the throttle is set to choke for a cold start. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release once the engine starts.
Perform maintenance every 25 hours of use, including checking the oil level, cleaning the air filter, and ensuring the blades are sharp. Annually, replace the spark plug, change the oil, and inspect the fuel system.
Check the battery charge, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and verify that the fuel is fresh. Also, ensure safety switches are engaged and fuses are intact.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located on the right side of the tractor. Move it up or down to achieve the desired grass length.
Check for debris lodged in the mower deck, ensure the blades are balanced and properly installed, and inspect the spindle bearings for wear. Tighten any loose bolts.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the mower deck, and then carefully remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt following the same path and reassemble the deck.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the tractor's manual for specific recommendations.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and gently clean it with compressed air or replace it if it's too dirty. Reinstall the filter and secure the cover.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage, ensure the transmission is engaged, and verify that the freewheel control is in the drive position. Inspect the linkage for any obstruction or disconnection.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
