To start the Poulan Pro PRRT65B Tiller, first ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Set the choke lever to the 'choke' position, then pull the starter cord until the engine begins to start. Once started, move the choke lever to the 'run' position.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends above 10% as they can harm the engine.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each tilling season.
First, ensure the tiller is off and cool. Check for any debris blocking the blades. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, replacing it if necessary. Make sure the tine engagement lever is properly engaged.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear any remaining fuel. Clean the tiller thoroughly and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust. Store in a dry, covered location.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or a worn drive belt. Inspect these components and tighten, repair, or replace as needed.
Adjust the depth stake located at the rear of the tiller. Loosen the adjustment knob, move the stake to the desired position, and retighten the knob to secure it.
The correct spark plug gap for the Poulan Pro PRRT65B Tiller is 0.030 inches (0.76 mm). Ensure the gap is correct when replacing the spark plug.
To replace the air filter, remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure the filter is seated properly and replace the cover securely.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Ensure the choke is set correctly and inspect the air filter for cleanliness.
