To start the Poulan Pro PRB26 blower, set the blower on a flat surface. Ensure the on/off switch is in the 'On' position. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb 6 times. Set the choke lever to the 'Full Choke' position. Pull the starter rope until the engine attempts to run, then move the choke to the 'Half Choke' position and pull again until the engine starts.
The Poulan Pro PRB26 blower requires a 40:1 fuel-to-oil mixture. Use 3.2 ounces of 2-cycle engine oil per gallon of unleaded gasoline. Ensure the gasoline is ethanol-free for optimal performance.
If the blower does not start, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Verify that the spark plug is not fouled or damaged. Ensure the air filter is clean. If these are in order, check the ignition system and primer bulb for proper operation.
The air filter should be checked before each use and cleaned if dirty. It should be replaced every 25 hours of operation or once a season. Cleaning involves washing it with soap and warm water, letting it dry, and applying a light coat of oil.
If the blower is running rough, check for a dirty air filter and clean or replace it. Inspect the spark plug for wear or deposits and replace if necessary. Ensure the fuel mixture is correct and fresh. Carburetor adjustment may also be required.
To store the blower, drain the fuel tank completely and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. Clean the blower thoroughly and check for any loose or damaged parts. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Check the spark plug every 25 hours of operation or annually. Clean any deposits with a wire brush and ensure the gap is set to 0.025 inches. Replace the spark plug if it shows signs of wear or damage.
To replace the blower tube, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the old tube by twisting and pulling it away from the blower housing. Attach the new tube by aligning it with the housing and pushing until it locks in place.
It is not recommended to use the Poulan Pro PRB26 blower in wet conditions as moisture can damage the engine and electrical components. Always operate the blower in dry conditions and avoid wet or damp areas.
Excessive vibration can be caused by loose parts or debris caught in the blower. Check and tighten any loose screws or bolts. Inspect the blower tube and fan for obstructions and remove any debris. If vibration persists, take the blower to a service center.
