Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the choke position (if cold starting), turn the ignition key to the start position, and release when the engine starts.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank has fresh fuel, verify the air filter is clean, and check the spark plug for wear or damage.
It's recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once a season to ensure optimal performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage or wear, sharpen them if they become dull, and replace them if they are bent or excessively worn.
Ensure the tire pressures are even, check that the deck is level, and inspect the blades for damage or dullness. Adjust or replace as necessary.
After each use, remove any grass clippings or debris from the deck with a brush or water spray to prevent buildup and rust.
Refer to the user manual for specific instructions, but generally, you will need to disengage the mower deck, remove the old belt from the pulleys, and install a new belt following the routing diagram.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer to the gasoline, and store the tractor in a dry, sheltered location. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
Regularly check and maintain oil levels, air filter, spark plug, tire pressures, and blade condition. Perform seasonal checks on belts, battery, and fuel system.
