To start the Poulan Pro PR48BT blower, ensure the blower is on a flat surface. Set the choke to the closed position, press the primer bulb 6 times, and pull the starter rope until the engine fires. Once the engine starts, move the choke to the open position.
If the blower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and clean or replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the air filter is clean and the choke is in the correct position for starting.
To maintain the air filter, remove the cover and the filter. Wash the filter in soapy water, rinse it thoroughly, and let it dry completely. Apply a few drops of oil to the filter before reinstalling it.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-cycle oil at a ratio of 50:1. Always mix the fuel in a separate container and shake well before refueling.
The spark plug should be checked and cleaned every 25 hours of operation and replaced every season or every 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first.
Excessive vibration may indicate loose parts or damage. Check that all screws and bolts are tight. Inspect the impeller for any damage or debris and clean or replace it if necessary.
To adjust the throttle, locate the throttle cable and ensure it is properly connected and not kinked. Adjust the cable tension to ensure smooth operation and full throttle range.
To clean the carburetor, first remove it from the blower. Disassemble the carburetor and clean all components with carburetor cleaner. Reassemble and reinstall it carefully, ensuring all gaskets and seals are intact.
If the blower is not blowing at full power, check for blockages in the air intake or the impeller. Ensure the air filter is clean and the fuel mixture is correct. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary.
Routine maintenance should be performed at the start of each season and after every 25 hours of use. This includes checking the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, and cleaning the blower housing to ensure optimal performance.
