To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the gear shift is in the neutral position, and the blade engagement lever is disengaged. Then, turn the ignition key to the start position.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10%.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has fresh fuel, and verify that the spark plug is in good condition.
Use a garden hose to spray underneath the deck after each use to prevent grass buildup. Ensure the blades are not engaged and the engine is off during cleaning.
Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Remove the deck, then use a wrench to unscrew the blade bolts. Replace with new blades and secure tightly.
The recommended tire pressure is 14 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires.
Check the tire pressure, ensure the deck is level, and inspect the blades for damage or dullness. Adjust as necessary.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and store it in a dry, sheltered place. Disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
Check for debris blocking the cooling fins, ensure the oil level is adequate, and verify that the air intake is clear. Allow the engine to cool before attempting repairs.
