To start the Poulan Pro PP8527ESB Snow Thrower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Move the throttle to the 'fast' position, set the choke to 'full', and prime the engine three times. Pull the starter handle or use the electric start button if available. Once started, gradually move the choke to the 'run' position.
If the snow thrower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Inspect the fuel line for blockages and ensure the choke is set correctly. If using the electric start, make sure the battery is charged.
It is recommended to change the oil in your Poulan Pro PP8527ESB Snow Thrower after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or once per season, whichever comes first.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Do not use gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol. For best results, use fresh fuel and consider adding a fuel stabilizer if the snow thrower will be stored for extended periods.
Regularly check the auger and impeller for any signs of wear or damage. Clear any debris after each use. Ensure shear pins are intact and replace them if broken to prevent damage to the auger. Lubricate moving parts as specified in the owner's manual.
If the snow thrower is not throwing snow far enough, inspect the chute for blockages and ensure the auger and impeller are not worn out. Adjust the throttle to a higher speed and check that the drive belt is not loose or damaged.
To store your snow thrower, drain the fuel or add a stabilizer to prevent degradation. Clean the machine thoroughly to remove salt and debris. Check for any damage and perform necessary maintenance. Store in a dry, sheltered area and cover to protect from dust and moisture.
To adjust the skid shoes, place the snow thrower on a flat surface. Loosen the hardware on both sides of the skid shoes, then raise or lower them to achieve the desired clearance between the scraper bar and the ground. Tighten the hardware securely after adjustment.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged or unbalanced impeller, loose hardware, or worn auger bearings. Inspect these components for damage and tighten any loose bolts. Replace any defective parts to restore proper function.
To replace the drive belt, first disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the belt cover and release tension on the belt by adjusting the idler pulley. Slide the old belt off and install the new belt, ensuring it is seated properly on all pulleys. Re-tension the belt and replace the cover.
