Poulan Pro PP800EPS24 Operator's Manual

To start the Poulan Pro PP800EPS24 snow thrower, ensure the ignition key is inserted, set the choke to the full position, prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb a few times, and then pull the starter handle or use the electric start button if equipped.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use gasoline that contains more than 10% ethanol as it can damage the engine.
Check if the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline, ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open, verify the ignition key is in place, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Also, make sure the choke is set correctly and the primer bulb is functioning.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting and replacing the spark plug as needed, lubricating moving parts, inspecting belts for wear, and cleaning the auger and impeller housing.
Ensure the skid shoes are adjusted properly, use the correct auger speed, and clear snow before it gets too deep. It's also helpful to work in overlapping paths to manage heavy snowfall.
Check for obstructions in the discharge chute, ensure the auger and impeller are clear of debris, and inspect belts for wear or tension issues. Adjust the chute angle for optimal snow throwing distance.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent gasoline degradation. Clean the machine thoroughly, lubricate metal parts to prevent rust, and store it in a dry, covered area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts.
Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, then shut it off. Place an oil pan under the engine, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Loosen the skid shoe mounting nuts, adjust the skid shoes to the desired height above the ground (higher for gravel surfaces and lower for paved surfaces), and then tighten the nuts securely. Ensure both sides are set to the same height.
Inspect the auger drive belt for wear or breakage and replace if necessary. Ensure the auger control cable is not damaged or disconnected. Adjust the tension of the cable if needed to ensure proper engagement.
