To start the Poulan Pro PP335 Trimmer, ensure the choke is in the full position, press the primer bulb a few times, set the trimmer on the ground, and pull the starter rope briskly until the engine fires.
Use a mix of unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle oil in a 40:1 ratio. Ensure the fuel is fresh and properly mixed before filling the trimmer.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the spool from the trimmer head, wind the new line onto the spool following the directional arrows, and then reattach the spool to the trimmer head.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and confirm that the air filter is not clogged. Additionally, verify that the choke is set correctly.
Clean the air filter every 5 hours of operation or more frequently if used in dusty conditions. Use warm, soapy water to clean, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Regularly inspect the cutting head for wear and damage. Replace the trimmer line as needed, and ensure the head is free of debris and securely attached to the shaft.
Wear protective gear including safety glasses, gloves, and long pants. Keep bystanders and pets at a safe distance, and avoid using the trimmer near windows or vehicles.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced cutting head, damaged trimmer line, or loose parts. Inspect and balance the cutting head, check the line, and tighten any loose components.
Before storing, empty the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, and store it in a dry, cool place. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer to any remaining fuel in the engine.
Ensure the line is of the correct diameter and type for your trimmer. Avoid hitting hard surfaces, and reduce speed when trimming thick or woody vegetation.
