To start the Poulan Pro PP12TEPH30, ensure the fuel tank is filled, set the choke to the start position, and pull the starter rope or use the electric start button if available.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10 to prevent engine damage.
Regularly check the auger for damage or wear. Lubricate the auger shaft periodically and replace shear pins as needed.
Check the fuel level, ensure the choke is set correctly, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and verify that the safety key is inserted properly.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the mounting nuts, raise or lower the shoes to the desired height, then tighten the nuts securely.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting and replacing the spark plug, cleaning the air filter, and checking belts and cables for wear.
To change the oil, warm up the engine, remove the oil drain plug, allow the oil to drain completely, replace the plug, and refill with the recommended oil type.
Check if the chute is clogged, inspect the auger and impeller for damage or wear, and adjust the chute deflector as needed.
Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, drain the fuel system, change the oil, and store in a dry, sheltered location. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil to the cylinder.
Check the drive belt for wear and tension, ensure the drive control cables are adjusted correctly, and inspect for any obstructions or damage in the drive mechanism.
