To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Then, stop the engine and place a pan under the drain valve. Open the valve to drain the oil. Close the valve and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Verify that the fuel tank has gas and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug and replace it if necessary.
Ensure that the tire pressure is even on all sides. Check the mower deck for levelness and adjust if needed. Inspect the blades for sharpness and replace them if they are dull or damaged.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned every 25 hours of operation and replaced every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or worn belts. Check and balance the blades, tighten any loose bolts, and inspect belts for wear. Replace components as necessary.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and fill the fuel tank. Add a fuel stabilizer and run the engine for a few minutes. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the correct position. Inspect the belt for damage or wear and replace it if necessary. Ensure the mower deck is properly connected to the tractor.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position to adjust the deck height. Always adjust the height with the engine off and the blades disengaged.
Check the spark plug for wear and replace it if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and free of debris. Inspect the fuel system for clogs or leaks. Clean or replace components as needed.
