Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and no more than 10% ethanol content. Avoid using old or stale fuel.
To start the snow thrower, ensure the choke is on, set the throttle to the 'FAST' position, and press the primer bulb a few times. Then, pull the starter handle or use the electric starter if equipped.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is in good condition, and confirm that the choke and throttle are set correctly. If problems persist, consult the user manual for troubleshooting tips.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then once every 25 hours of use or at the beginning of each snow season.
After use, allow the engine to cool, then use a brush or cloth to remove snow and debris. Avoid using water to prevent rust and damage.
To adjust the skid shoes, loosen the mounting nuts, set the desired height by placing a spacer under the scraper blade, and then retighten the nuts.
Check for a clogged discharge chute or auger. Clear any obstructions and ensure that the auger and impeller are functioning correctly.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a socket wrench, and install a new plug of the correct type and gap. Reattach the spark plug wire securely.
Maintain the tire pressure at approximately 20 PSI for optimal performance and stability. Check the pressure regularly during the snow season.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and clean the machine thoroughly. Store it in a dry, sheltered area, and cover it to protect from dust and moisture.
