To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the oil drain plug, allowing the old oil to drain into a container. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and secure. Verify that the fuel tank is filled and the fuel shut-off valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
Ensure the tractor is off and disconnect the spark plug wire. Lift the deck to its highest position, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, and replace the blade with a new one. Re-tighten the bolt securely.
The recommended tire pressure is usually 14 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires. Consult your owner's manual for exact specifications.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and replace them if needed. Ensure that the deck is level and adjust if necessary. Also, make sure the tire pressures are equal and correct.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove loose dirt. If it's very dirty, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry before reinstalling.
Check for obstructions in the air intake or cooling fins and clean them. Ensure the engine oil level is correct, and consider replacing the oil if it's old. Verify that the cooling system is functioning properly.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 50 hours of use or at the start of each mowing season. This includes changing the oil, checking the spark plug, and inspecting the blades.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the tractor and move it to the desired setting. Make sure the deck is level for consistent cutting performance.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose parts, or debris stuck in the deck. Inspect these areas and resolve any issues found.
