To start the Poulan Pro P2400 Snow Thrower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to full, and pull the starter handle firmly. Once it starts, gradually move the choke to the run position.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the snow thrower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered location. Cover it to protect it from dust and debris.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or once a season, whichever comes first. Use the oil type recommended in the manual.
Check the fuel level, spark plug, and ensure the choke is set correctly. Inspect for any blockages in the fuel line and clean the carburetor if necessary.
Use a slower pace to allow the snow thrower to process the snow effectively. Ensure the auger is clear of debris and the skid shoes are adjusted for optimal clearance.
Check the oil level, inspect the spark plug, and ensure all nuts and bolts are tight. Verify that the tires are properly inflated and the controls are functioning correctly.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and install the new plug. Ensure it's tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.
Check the auger drive belt for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure the auger cable is properly connected and not damaged.
Loosen the skid shoe bolts, adjust the height to the desired level, and retighten the bolts. This adjustment helps protect the auger housing and works best on gravel surfaces.
This could be due to worn scraper blades. Inspect the scraper blade for wear and replace it if necessary to ensure efficient snow clearing.
