Poulan Pro MICRO XXV Operator's Manual

To start your Poulan Pro MICRO XXV, ensure the chain brake is engaged, set the choke to the 'cold start' position, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then move the choke to 'run' and pull again until it starts.
Use a 40:1 gasoline-to-oil mixture. This means mixing 3.2 ounces of 2-cycle synthetic oil with one gallon of unleaded gasoline.
Regularly check the chain tension and sharpen the chain as needed. Lubricate the chain using bar and chain oil every time you refill the fuel tank.
A dull chain is the most common cause. Ensure the chain is sharp and properly tensioned. Check for any damage or wear on the chain and replace if needed.
Check the fuel mixture, spark plug, and air filter. Ensure the choke is set correctly for starting, and that the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
Clean the air filter after every 5 hours of use or more frequently if operating in dusty conditions. Replace it if it's damaged or too dirty to clean effectively.
The chain should be snug but still able to move freely. You should be able to lift the chain slightly from the bar in the middle but the drive links should not come out of the bar groove.
Ensure the air intake and cooling fins are clean and clear of debris. Use the correct fuel mixture and do not run the chainsaw at full throttle for prolonged periods without load.
This can happen if the chain is too loose or the bar is damaged. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and inspect the bar for wear or damage that could cause the chain to derail.
First, disconnect the spark plug lead. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench. Check the gap on the new plug, install it by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten it with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug lead.
