Ensure the fuel tank is filled, the throttle is set to 'start', and the choke is engaged. Pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F.
Adjust the depth stake by loosening the adjustment lever and moving the stake to the desired position. Tighten the lever once the desired depth is set.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and verify the choke and throttle are properly set.
Regularly inspect the tines for wear and damage. Clean them after each use and replace them if they are bent or worn excessively.
Excessive vibration may be caused by damaged tines or loose components. Inspect and tighten any loose bolts and replace damaged parts.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or once per season.
Drain the fuel, clean the tiller thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Cover it to protect from dust and debris.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new plug with the correct gap setting. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Check for fuel flow issues, clean the air filter, and ensure the carburetor is properly adjusted. Restart the tiller according to the manual instructions.
