Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, place the throttle in the choke position, turn the ignition key to start, and then adjust the throttle to the desired setting.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for damage, and confirm that the safety switches are engaged properly.
Change the oil every 50 hours of use or at the start of each mowing season, whichever comes first.

Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor and move it to the desired cutting position.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, remove the battery, and store it in a dry, covered location. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank.
Check if the tires are properly inflated, ensure the blades are sharp and balanced, and adjust the deck level as needed.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose parts, and ensure the engine mounting bolts are secure.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, lift the mower deck, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, and replace the blade with a new one, ensuring it is tightened securely.
Check the oil level, inspect the air filter, ensure the blades are sharp, and verify that all safety features are functioning.
