To change the oil, first park the tractor on a level surface. Remove the oil fill cap and drain plug, allowing the old oil to fully drain. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with new oil as per the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, replace the oil fill cap.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends greater than 10%.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the fuel tank has gas and the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or a professional technician.
Sharpen the blades after every 25 hours of use to maintain optimal cutting performance. Always ensure the blades are balanced after sharpening.
The recommended tire pressure is usually 10 psi for the front tires and 14 psi for the rear tires. Refer to the owner’s manual for exact specifications.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the air filter. Clean it with compressed air or wash it with soapy water if it's a foam filter. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling. Replace it if it's damaged or overly dirty.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades or loose components. Check the blades for balance and ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened. If the issue persists, consult a professional.
Locate the cutting height lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. Ensure both sides are adjusted equally for an even cut.
Check the battery for corrosion and clean the terminals. Test the battery with a voltmeter. If it's not holding a charge, it may need to be replaced. Also check the alternator and charging system for faults.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and run the engine for a few minutes to circulate. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
