To start the Poulan Pro DRT900 Tiller, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position, and pull the starter rope. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Ensure that the fuel is fresh and free of contaminants.
Change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each tilling season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
Check for debris or obstructions in the tines. Ensure the tine control is engaged. If the issue persists, inspect the drive belt for wear and adjust or replace it if necessary.
Before storing, clean the tiller thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, and run the engine until it stops. Change the oil and store the tiller in a dry, covered location.
Excessive vibration may be caused by damaged or unbalanced tines. Inspect the tines and replace any that are bent or broken. Also, check the engine mounts for wear.
Before each use, check the oil level, inspect the air filter, and ensure all nuts and bolts are tight. Inspect the tines for damage and ensure they rotate freely.
Adjust the tilling depth by moving the depth stake up or down. Secure the stake in the desired position using the clevis pin.
Check if there is fuel in the tank and that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Ensure the choke is set correctly and that the fuel valve is open.
To replace the air filter, remove the air filter cover, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure the filter is seated correctly and replace the cover securely.
