To start the mower, first ensure that there is enough fuel and oil. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb three times. Pull the starter cord firmly while holding the handlebar lever to engage the engine.
Check for sufficient fuel and oil levels. Ensure the spark plug is connected properly and not fouled. Also, verify that the air filter is clean. If the mower still does not start, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of use or at the start of each mowing season. Ensure the mower is on a level surface and the engine is cool before changing the oil.
Turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower on its side with the carburetor facing up. Use a garden hose to spray off grass and debris. For stubborn residue, a plastic scraper can be used. Ensure the deck is dry before storing.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Inspect the blades regularly for nicks, dullness, or damage. Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season or more if needed. Replace the blades if they are bent or excessively worn. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, incorrect cutting height, or debris buildup under the deck. Sharpen the blades, adjust the cutting height, and clean the deck to resolve the issue.
Maintain the mower regularly by keeping the air filter clean, using fresh fuel, and ensuring the spark plug is in good condition. Proper blade maintenance and deck cleaning can also improve efficiency.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content as it can damage the engine.
Clean the mower thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance. Drain the fuel or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent the fuel from degrading. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area to protect it from the elements.
