To start the mower, ensure it is on a flat surface. Check that the fuel tank is full and the oil level is adequate. Pull the safety handle towards the handlebar and then pull the starter rope briskly.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Check if there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade or loose parts. Inspect the blade for damage and ensure all nuts and bolts are tight.
Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Tilt the mower on its side, ensuring the air filter and carburetor face upward. Use a brush or hose to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blade, and checking the spark plug.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Check for fuel contamination or a clogged fuel line. Ensure the air filter is clean and inspect the spark plug for fouling. Clean or replace as needed.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
