Poulan Pro BP402 LE Operator's Manual

To start the blower, first ensure that the fuel tank is filled with the appropriate fuel mixture. Set the choke lever to the full choke position, press the primer bulb 6 times, and pull the starter rope until the engine starts. Once started, move the choke lever to the run position.
The correct fuel mixture for the Poulan Pro BP402 LE Blower is a 40:1 ratio of gasoline to two-cycle oil. Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and high-quality two-cycle engine oil.
If the blower doesn't start, check the fuel mixture to ensure it's correct. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and unobstructed. Additionally, examine the fuel lines for cracks or leaks.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug annually, inspecting the fuel and air lines for damage, and ensuring all screws and nuts are tightened. Also, check the muffler and exhaust for blockages.
To clean the air filter, remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash it with warm soapy water and let it dry completely. Apply a few drops of oil to the filter before reinstalling it. Replace if it is damaged or too dirty to clean.
Excessive vibration can be caused by loose parts, damaged impeller, or unbalanced blower tubes. Check and tighten all screws and nuts, inspect the impeller for damage, and ensure the blower tubes are properly connected and secured.
Reduced air output may be due to a clogged air filter, dirty or blocked blower tubes, or a worn-out impeller. Clean or replace the air filter, inspect and clear any obstructions from the blower tubes, and check the impeller for wear or damage.
Before storing the blower, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the blower thoroughly and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area. It's also a good idea to remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder to prevent rust.
Always wear protective eyewear and hearing protection when using the blower. Ensure that bystanders, especially children, and pets are at a safe distance. Never point the blower at people or animals, and avoid using it in confined spaces.
If the blower stalls, check the air filter and fuel filter for clogs. Inspect the fuel mixture to ensure it is correct. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Additionally, make sure the choke is in the correct position once the engine is running.
