Ensure the chain brake is engaged, switch the choke to the full position, prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb 6 times, and pull the starter rope until the engine fires. Then, move the choke to the half position and pull again until the chainsaw starts.
Use a gasoline-oil mix with a ratio of 40:1, using fresh unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-cycle engine oil.
Check for fuel issues, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, inspect the air filter, and verify that the ignition switch is on.
Regularly clean the air filter, inspect and replace the spark plug as needed, check the chain tension, and lubricate the bar and chain.
Loosen the bar nuts slightly, adjust the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled around the bar by hand, then retighten the bar nuts.
Sharpen the chain using a round file and file guide, ensuring the correct angle is maintained, or replace the chain if it is too worn.
Ensure proper lubrication of the chain and bar, clean the air filter regularly, and avoid running the saw at full throttle for extended periods without a load.
Empty the fuel tank, clean the chainsaw, remove the chain and bar, and store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Clean the air filter after every 5 hours of operation and replace it if it shows signs of damage or excessive dirt.
Wear proper protective gear, maintain a firm grip on the saw, be aware of your surroundings, and follow all safety instructions in the manual.
