To enable the underwater mode, turn the mode dial to the SCN (Scene) position, then use the arrow keys to select 'Underwater Snapshot' or 'Underwater Wide.' Press the OK button to confirm your selection.
First, ensure that the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. If the camera still does not turn on, try removing the battery and SD card for a few minutes, then reinsert them. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Olympus support.
You can transfer photos by connecting the camera to your computer using a USB cable. Alternatively, you can remove the SD card and use an SD card reader to transfer the files directly to your computer.
Regularly check the battery and ensure it is charged. Clean the camera body and lens with a soft, dry cloth. After using the camera in saltwater, rinse it with fresh water and dry it thoroughly. Store the camera in a cool, dry place.
To reset the camera, go to the menu, select 'Setup,' then choose 'Reset' and confirm the selection. This will restore the camera to its default factory settings.
Blurry photos can result from a few factors such as low light conditions, incorrect focus settings, or camera shake. Ensure adequate lighting, check that the AF mode is set correctly, and use a tripod or steady your hands when taking pictures.
The Olympus TG-850 does not support remote control functionality directly. However, you can use the self-timer mode to capture photos without manually pressing the shutter button.
Use a blower to remove dust and debris, then gently wipe the lens with a microfiber cloth. Avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the lens coating.
Press the menu button, navigate to the 'Image Quality' section, and select the desired resolution from the options available. Confirm your selection by pressing the OK button.
Immediately turn off the camera and remove the battery and SD card. Dry the exterior and leave the battery compartment open to air dry. Do not use heat sources to dry the camera. If the issue persists, contact Olympus support for professional assistance.
