Olympus SP-310 Quick Start Guide

To change the shooting mode, turn the mode dial located on top of the camera to your desired setting. The modes include Auto, Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual, and Scene modes.
Connect your Olympus SP-310 to a computer using the provided USB cable. Ensure the camera is turned on, and your computer will recognize it as a removable drive. You can then copy images from the camera to your computer.
First, ensure the battery is charged and properly inserted. If the camera still doesn't turn on, try using a different battery. If the problem persists, contact Olympus support for further assistance.
To reset the camera to factory settings, go to the menu, select 'Setup', then choose 'Reset' and confirm your selection. This will restore the camera's default settings.
Press the 'Menu' button, navigate to the 'WB' (White Balance) setting, and choose the appropriate white balance for your shooting conditions, such as daylight, cloudy, or incandescent.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens cleaning brush to gently remove dust and smudges from the lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or rough materials that could scratch the lens.
To extend battery life, reduce the use of the LCD screen and flash, and turn off the camera when not in use. Consider carrying spare batteries for longer shooting sessions.
Press the 'Menu' button, navigate to the 'Image Quality' setting, and select the desired resolution and compression options to suit your needs.
Ensure the camera is set to the proper focus mode and that you're holding the camera steady when shooting. If necessary, use a tripod or adjust the shutter speed to prevent motion blur.
Download the latest firmware from the Olympus website. Connect your camera to the computer, run the firmware update software, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
