To start a new recording, press the "Record" button. Ensure the recorder is in the desired mode (e.g., conference, dictation) before you begin.
First, check if the batteries are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. If the problem persists, try replacing the batteries or ensure the battery compartment is clean.
Switch to the "Conference" mode for better sensitivity, and position the recorder closer to the sound source to capture clearer audio.
Select the recording you wish to delete, then press the "Erase" button. Confirm the deletion when prompted to permanently remove the file.
Connect the Olympus DP-311 to your computer using the USB cable. The recorder should appear as a removable drive, allowing you to drag and drop files to your computer.
The maximum recording time depends on the selected recording quality and available memory. Refer to the user manual for specific details on time limits per mode.
Use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable batteries, and turn off the recorder when not in use to conserve power. Consider lowering the display brightness and disabling features like backlight if not needed.
Slide the "Hold" switch to the locked position. This will disable all buttons and prevent unintentional use.
Ensure that the microphone is not obstructed and that you are using the appropriate recording mode. Try repositioning the recorder closer to the sound source and avoiding areas with excessive noise.
The Olympus DP-311 does not support file renaming directly on the device. You need to transfer the recording to a computer and rename the file there.
