To change the oil, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the oil drain plug and let the old oil drain into a pan. Replace the drain plug, then refill the engine with the recommended oil type and capacity as specified in the manual.
Check the battery connections and charge, ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline, inspect the spark plug for wear, and verify that the safety switches are engaged.
First, disconnect the spark plug for safety. Turn the tractor on its side and remove the bolt securing the blade. Replace with a new blade, ensuring it is balanced and secured tightly.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Regularly sharpen and balance the mower blades, keep the underside of the deck clean, and ensure the tire pressure is even. Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions.
Refer to the user manual for the recommended tire pressure, typically around 10-14 psi for the front tires and 8-10 psi for the rear tires.
Perform maintenance such as oil changes, air filter cleaning, and spark plug inspection every 25 hours of use or at least once per season. Regularly check the belts and blades for wear.
Check for debris lodged in the deck, ensure the blades are balanced, and inspect the spindle bearings and pulleys for wear or damage.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever, usually positioned near the driver's seat, and move it to the desired height setting. Ensure both sides are set equally for an even cut.
While the tractor can handle mild slopes, avoid steep hills to prevent tipping. Always mow up and down slopes, not across, and ensure proper tire traction.
