Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to choke. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank has gas, and verify the spark plug is functioning. Also, make sure the safety switches are engaged.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 40°F.
Disconnect the spark plug for safety, lift the tractor, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades and securely tighten the bolts.
Inspect the mower deck for levelness, check the tire pressure, and ensure the blades are sharp and properly installed.
Regular maintenance includes checking fluid levels, cleaning the air filter, inspecting belts and blades, and lubricating moving parts.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or debris lodged in the mower deck.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the seat to set the desired cutting height. Ensure the deck is level side-to-side.
Check for proper tire inflation, inspect the steering linkage for wear, and lubricate the steering components as needed.
