Ensure that the tractor is on a flat surface. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'Start' position while pressing the brake pedal. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Make sure the fuel tank has fuel and the fuel valve is open. Also, verify that the spark plug is in good condition.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended oil type specified in the manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends higher than 10%.
Regularly sharpen the blades and clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings. Make sure the tire pressure is correct for an even cut.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance. Check the belt for wear and ensure it is properly tensioned. Also, verify that all bolts and screws are tight.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Remove the mower deck and then the old belt. Install the new belt according to the diagram in the manual, ensuring it is aligned correctly.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and fill the fuel tank with stabilized fuel. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Lubricate all moving parts as per the manual.
Check the tire pressure to ensure all tires are equally inflated. Inspect the blades for sharpness and ensure they are properly installed. Level the mower deck if necessary.
Stop the tractor immediately and let it cool down. Check the air filter for clogs and the cooling fins for debris. Ensure the oil level is adequate and inspect for any leaks.
