Ensure the tractor is on a level surface. Insert the key into the ignition, press the brake pedal, and turn the key clockwise to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel level is adequate, inspect the spark plug for damage, and verify the air filter is clean.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
The front tires should be inflated to 14 PSI, and the rear tires should be inflated to 10 PSI.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the tractor's right side, and move it to the desired position ranging from 1.5 to 4 inches.
Disconnect the spark plug, secure the mower deck, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with a new blade and tighten the bolt securely.
Stop the engine immediately, let it cool down, check for debris blocking the air intake, and ensure the cooling fins are clean.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion, clean with a baking soda solution if necessary, and ensure the battery is fully charged before storing the tractor.
Clean the mower deck, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, remove the battery, and store the tractor in a dry place.
