Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is turned off, and the transmission is in neutral. Insert the key and turn it to the start position.
Check the battery connections, ensure there is fuel in the tank, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours of operation or once per season.
Use SAE 30 oil for the best performance, especially in temperatures above 40°F (4°C).
Remove the blades carefully, secure them in a vice, and use a file or grinder to sharpen them evenly.
Maintain a tire pressure of 14 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires.
Disconnect the battery, remove the mower deck, and follow the belt routing diagram to replace the drive belt.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged, ensure the deck is level, and verify tire pressure is even on both sides.
Use a hose to rinse the deck after each use, and periodically scrape off any built-up grass clippings or debris.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry place.
