Ensure the transmission is in neutral, engage the parking brake, adjust the throttle to the midpoint, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has sufficient gasoline, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
It's recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each season.
Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and sharpen or replace them as necessary to ensure a clean cut.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol blends greater than 10%.
