To change the oil, ensure the engine is warm, then turn off the engine. Place a container under the oil drain plug, remove the plug, and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with new oil as specified in the manual.
Check the battery connections for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Ensure the fuel valve is open and that there is enough fuel in the tank. Check the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Check if the mower blades are sharp and balanced. Inspect the tire pressure to ensure all tires are equally inflated. Ensure the deck is level by adjusting the deck height settings as required.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and change the oil. Remove any fuel from the tank and run the engine until it stops to clear any fuel in the carburetor. Store the tractor in a dry place and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
First, ensure the tractor is off and remove the ignition key. Lower the mower deck to its lowest position. Remove the old belt from the pulleys, then install the new belt following the belt routing diagram located on the mower deck.
Check the engine oil level and ensure it's adequate. Inspect the cooling fins for debris and clean them if necessary. Ensure the air intake screen is clear of obstructions.
Sharpen the mower blades at least once per mowing season or more frequently if you notice the grass is being torn rather than cut cleanly.
Always wear appropriate clothing and safety gear such as gloves and eye protection. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid mowing on steep slopes. Never allow passengers on the tractor.
Use the height adjustment lever located on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height to your preference.
Check the oil level and top up if necessary. Inspect the air filter and clean or replace if dirty. Ensure that the blades are sharp and secure, and check the tire pressure.
