To start the tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is disengaged, and the throttle is in the "fast" position. Turn the ignition key clockwise to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use. In temperatures below 40°F (4°C), use SAE 5W-30 for better performance.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season. Ensure the engine is warm before draining the oil.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the "engage" position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Run the tractor regularly to keep the battery charged. During long storage periods, disconnect the battery or use a trickle charger.
The recommended tire pressure is 14 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires. Check tire pressure regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure the fuel tank is full and the fuel shutoff valve is open. Check the spark plug for fouling and replace if necessary. Verify the battery is charged and connections are secure.
Perform regular maintenance by checking oil levels, cleaning the air filter, sharpening the blades, and inspecting belts for wear. Follow the maintenance schedule in the user manual.
To winterize, clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer, and store it in a dry place. Remove the battery and keep it charged separately.
Adjust the cutting height by using the lever located on the right side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired height setting while the tractor is parked on level ground.
