Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "Start" position while ensuring the brake pedal is fully depressed and the throttle is set to the "Fast" position.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, and verify that the spark plug is functioning. If necessary, refer to the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for the best performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends higher than 10%.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Use a brush or hose to remove grass and debris from the deck. Always ensure the area is dry before reconnecting the spark plug.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them as needed. Also, ensure the deck is level and the tire pressure is consistent on all tires.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever, usually on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose components, or worn belts. Inspect and correct any of these issues to reduce vibration.
Ensure the tires are properly inflated and consider using tire chains for better grip. Always mow up and down slopes, not across, to maintain control.
At the end of the season, clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery for storage, and cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
