Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the choke position if the engine is cold, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F to ensure optimal performance.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season, whichever comes first.
Check the battery connections, ensure there's fuel in the tank, inspect the spark plug for wear, and make sure the safety switches are engaged.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, remove the battery, add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, and store it in a dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the right side of the tractor, and move it to the desired position to adjust the cutting height.
The recommended tire pressure is 14 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Check the pressure regularly to ensure proper traction and performance.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced, ensure the deck is level, and inspect the tire pressure to prevent uneven cutting.
Regularly inspect, sharpen, and balance the blades. Replace them if they are bent or severely worn to maintain cutting efficiency.
Ensure the tires are properly inflated, use weights or tire chains for additional traction, and mow up and down slopes rather than across.
