Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, sit in the seat, engage the parking brake, and make sure the blades are disengaged. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the start position.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane rating. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank has gasoline, and verify that the safety features like the seat switch and parking brake are engaged.
Ensure the engine is off and disconnect the spark plug. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and securely tighten the blade bolt.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean or replace it if it appears dirty or damaged to ensure optimal engine performance.
Regularly sharpen the blades, mow at the recommended speed, and avoid cutting wet grass to improve cutting performance.
Check for loose or damaged parts, ensure the blades are balanced, and inspect the belts for wear or damage. Tighten any loose components.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry, sheltered location. Add a fuel stabilizer to the gasoline.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged. Ensure the deck is level and the tires are properly inflated. Adjust the mowing speed if necessary.
