Murray 42911x65C Parts Manual

To start the Murray 42911x65C Tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is disengaged, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key clockwise to start the engine. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check if there is sufficient fuel in the tank, ensure that the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the battery is charged. Also, make sure the safety interlock system is properly engaged.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season, whichever comes first. Always use the manufacturer's recommended oil type for optimal performance.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage or wear. Sharpen the blades every 20-25 hours of use or whenever you notice a decrease in cutting performance. Replace the blades if they are bent or excessively worn.
Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all sides. Inspect the mower deck for any obstructions and ensure it is level. Also, make sure the blades are sharp and not damaged.
Remove any grass clippings and debris after each use. For a thorough cleaning, use a garden hose to rinse the deck. Avoid using high-pressure water, which can damage components. Ensure the deck is dry before storing.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent damage to the engine.
Check if the blades are properly balanced and securely attached. Inspect the spindle and pulleys for wear or damage. Tighten any loose hardware and replace any worn parts.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck. Ensure the deck is level from side to side after adjustment.
