To start the Murray 42911x65B Tractor, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO is disengaged, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release it once the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, battery connections, and spark plug condition. Ensure that the choke and throttle are in the correct positions, and the safety switches are functioning properly.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment lever located on the right fender to your desired position. The cutting height ranges from 1.5 to 4 inches.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, incorrect tire pressure, or an improperly leveled mower deck. Check and address these areas for an even cut.
First, disconnect the spark plug and remove the deck. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolts, replace the blades, and securely tighten the bolts before reattaching the deck.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion, ensure tight connections, and charge the battery if it is not holding a charge. Store the battery in a dry, cool place when not in use.
Ensure the PTO switch is in the correct position, check the PTO belt for wear or damage, and inspect the electrical connections to the PTO clutch.
Excessive vibration may result from unbalanced blades, loose components, or damaged belts. Inspect and address these areas to reduce vibration.
