To start the Murray 42510A Tractor, ensure the transmission is in neutral, engage the parking brake, and turn the ignition key clockwise until the engine starts. Release the key once the engine is running.
The Murray 42510A Tractor operates on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels above E10.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank is filled, verify the spark plug is in good condition, and check the air filter for blockages.
Disconnect the spark plug for safety, remove the mower deck, and use a wrench to loosen and remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades, ensuring they are securely fastened.
Regularly check the oil level, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the blades for sharpness, check tire pressure, and clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup.
Check if the tire pressure is even, ensure the mower deck is level, and inspect the blades for dullness or damage. Adjust as necessary for an even cut.
To improve battery life, regularly clean the battery terminals, ensure the charging system is functioning correctly, and store the tractor in a cool, dry place when not in use.
The recommended tire pressure for the Murray 42510A Tractor is 14 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Check regularly to ensure optimal performance.
To clean the carburetor, remove the air filter and housing, detach the carburetor, and use a carburetor cleaner spray to clean the inside and outside. Reassemble once dry.
