Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the gear shift lever is in neutral, and the PTO is disengaged. Then, insert the key and turn it to the start position until the engine fires up.
Check the battery connections and ensure they are clean and tight. Verify the fuel level and make sure the fuel valve is open. Also, check the spark plug and replace it if necessary.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of operation, including checking the oil level, air filter, and tire pressure. A full maintenance check should be done every 100 hours.
Use a high-quality SAE 30 oil for general use. If operating in colder temperatures, SAE 10W-30 can be used to ensure proper lubrication.
Check the tire pressure to ensure it is even on all sides. Inspect the blades for damage or dullness and sharpen or replace them as necessary. Also, verify that the deck is level.
Disconnect the spark plug for safety. Lift the mower deck and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades, ensuring they're installed in the correct direction, and tighten the bolts securely.
Clean the tractor thoroughly and perform any necessary maintenance. Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the tractor in a dry, covered area and disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade or loose engine mounting bolts. Check and tighten any loose components and ensure the blades are balanced.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired height setting, ensuring it locks into place.
Check the transmission fluid level and top it off if necessary. Inspect the drive belt for wear and replace it if it's damaged or slipping.
