To start the tractor, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the gear shift lever is in neutral. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the start position until the engine begins, then release.
Use SAE 30 motor oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 5W-30 or SAE 10W-30 for better cold starting.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation and replace it if it is dirty or damaged. Generally, it should be replaced annually or after every 100 hours of use.
Ensure the PTO switch is in the 'ON' position and check the belt for damage or misalignment. Also, inspect the electrical connections for any issues.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located on the right side of the tractor. Move the lever up or down to select the desired cutting height setting.
The recommended tire pressure is 14 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure before use for optimal performance.
The tractor may not start due to several reasons including a dead battery, faulty spark plugs, or a clogged fuel filter. Check these components and replace or repair as necessary.
Maintain the tractor regularly by changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, and ensuring the blades are sharp. Avoid idling for long periods and operate at optimal throttle settings.
Stop the tractor immediately and allow it to cool. Check the coolant levels, and inspect the radiator and cooling fins for blockages. Clean or refill as necessary.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery. Store it in a dry, sheltered area and cover it to protect from dust and debris. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank.
