To change the oil, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity. Check the manual for specific details.
If your tractor won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, and inspect the spark plug for damage or wear. Verify that the safety switches are engaged.
Blades should be sharpened after approximately every 25 hours of use or whenever you notice a decrease in cutting performance. Regular inspection and sharpening will ensure optimal performance.
The tractor is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the tractor, usually found near the driver's seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. Always adjust with the engine off.
Before storage, clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer, and disconnect the battery. Store in a dry place and cover to protect from dust and moisture.
To replace the air filter, remove the cover from the air filter housing, take out the old filter, and insert a new one. Ensure it is properly seated and replace the cover.
Black smoke may indicate a clogged air filter or an issue with the fuel system. Check and replace the air filter if needed and ensure the fuel is fresh and of the correct type.
Uneven cutting can be caused by dull blades, incorrect tire pressure, or uneven deck height. Sharpen the blades, check tire pressure, and ensure the deck is level.
To check tire pressure, use a tire gauge to measure the pressure when the tires are cold. Adjust to the recommended PSI as specified in the owner's manual.
