To change the oil, first, warm up the engine for a few minutes to thin the oil. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Place a container under the drain plug, remove the plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill the engine with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol as it can cause damage to the engine.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Check that the tire pressure is correct and adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions. Regularly clean the underside of the deck to prevent grass buildup.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the battery is charged and the connections are clean and tight. Inspect the spark plug and replace it if necessary. Ensure the safety switches are engaged and check for any blown fuses.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Check the water levels if applicable and top off with distilled water. Charge the battery during long periods of inactivity and store it in a cool, dry place.
Check for obstructions in the air intake and cooling fins. Ensure the oil level is correct and change the oil if it's old or dirty. Inspect the engine for any leaks or blockages in the cooling system.
Park the tractor on a flat surface and lower the mower deck. Measure the height from the ground to the blade tip on both sides. Adjust the deck links until both sides are at the desired height. Ensure the front of the deck is slightly lower than the back for optimal cutting.
Change the oil every 50 hours of use or annually, whichever comes first. Replace the air filter every 25 hours or as needed. Inspect the blades, belts, and tires regularly, and perform a thorough checkup at the start of each mowing season.
Clean the tractor thoroughly to remove grass and debris. Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check for damaged or unbalanced blades and replace if necessary. Inspect the belts for wear and tension. Examine the tires for proper inflation and any signs of damage. Ensure all bolts and nuts are securely tightened.
