To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and remove the key. Place an oil pan under the engine and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely, then replace the plug. Refill with the recommended oil type and quantity specified in the manual.
Use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Blades should be sharpened at least once a mowing season or more frequently if you notice uneven grass cutting or if the blades hit rocks or other hard objects.
First, check if the battery is fully charged and connections are clean and secure. Ensure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline. Check the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Make sure the PTO is disengaged and the transmission is in neutral when starting.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the air filter. If it's a foam filter, wash it with mild detergent and water, then allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of oil to the filter before reinstalling. For paper filters, replace them if they're dirty or clogged.
Stop the tractor and turn off the engine immediately. Check for debris blocking the cooling fins or air intake. Ensure coolant levels are adequate and the cooling system is functioning correctly. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Remove the mower deck and locate the drive belt. Loosen the belt guides and tensioner, then remove the old belt. Install the new belt following the belt routing diagram in the manual, re-tension and secure the belt guides. Reattach the mower deck.
Refer to the owner's manual for the recommended tire pressure, typically around 10-14 PSI for the front tires and 8-12 PSI for the rear tires. Regularly check and maintain the tire pressure to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Regularly clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass build-up. Adjust the cutting height to suit different grass conditions and mow at the right speed to avoid overloading the engine.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, removing any grass and debris. Change the oil and check other fluid levels. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure and store the tractor in a dry, covered area.
