To ensure optimal performance, perform maintenance every 50 hours of operation or seasonally, including checking oil levels, inspecting belts, and cleaning the deck.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C), and SAE 5W-30 for colder conditions.
First, disconnect the battery, then remove the mower deck. Loosen the idler pulley to remove the old belt and install the new one, ensuring proper alignment.
Use the lever located near the seat to adjust the cutting height. Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface for an accurate adjustment.
Check for debris blocking the air intake or cooling fins, ensure the oil level is correct, and verify the fuel mixture is not too lean.
Clean the mower deck, change the oil, add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, and store the tractor in a dry, covered area.
Uneven cutting can be caused by a dull blade, uneven tire pressure, or an unlevel deck. Sharpen the blade, check tire pressure, and adjust the deck for levelness.
Regularly clean the battery terminals, ensure the charging system is functioning properly, and avoid leaving the tractor unused for extended periods without charging.
Check for debris lodged in the mower deck, inspect for bent blades, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened properly.
