To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Place a pan under the oil drain plug, remove the plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, then fill the engine with the recommended oil type and amount as specified in the manual.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. Verify that the fuel tank has fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure the safety switches are engaged properly. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or a professional technician.
First, ensure the tire pressures are equal and correct. Check the mower deck for levelness by measuring from the ground to the blade tips on each side. Adjust the deck height if necessary. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and replace them if needed.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them with a baking soda and water solution if needed. Ensure the battery is securely mounted and the connections are tight. During long periods of inactivity, disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
To replace the blades, first disconnect the spark plug. Lift the mower deck to its highest position. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, then carefully take off the blade. Install the new blade by aligning it with the spindle and tightening the bolt securely. Ensure the blade is installed in the correct direction.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. It is recommended to use gasoline with no more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine issues. Avoid storing fuel for long periods to maintain its quality.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of operation or every season. Replace the air filter if it appears dirty or damaged. Regular maintenance of the air filter ensures optimal engine performance and longevity.
Inspect the steering components, including the steering linkage and tie rods, for wear or damage. Tighten any loose bolts or nuts. If components are worn out, they should be replaced to ensure safe and accurate steering.
To improve traction, ensure the tires are properly inflated and in good condition. Add wheel weights or tire chains if necessary. Always mow up and down slopes rather than across, and avoid sudden changes in speed or direction.
Change the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. A new spark plug ensures efficient engine performance and easier starting. Always use the spark plug type specified in the owner's manual.
